Zoeva Luxe Rose Gold - Complete Eye Set

I had heard so much hype over the ZOEVA brush line but managed to resist purchasing as I was happy with the brushes I had invested in already. However, recently I gave in and purchased the complete eye set in rose gold, but these brushes are not for if you are on a budget. For £56.50 you get 12 eye brushes (one of them could be classed as a face brush, actually) with black handles, beautiful rose gold Farrells and most with white/Ivory bristles - the appearance of these brushes most definitely is beautiful and could transform your whole make up brush area.

Petit Crease, Soft Definer, Crease and Defined Crease (in order left-right)
My favourite brushes in the collection have to be these four: (all 12 brushes are apart of the 'luxe' collection) the Petit Crease, Crease, Soft Definer and my favourite of the whole collection the Defined Crease. All of these brushes feel soft to touch on the hand and believe me they are incredibly soft, but the petit crease and crease brush on the eye felt a little scratchy, which I was so disappointed about considering the price. However, after I recently deep cleaned them I found they had become much softer and fluffier so they are easier to use and kinder to my sensitive eyes, thankfully.

Detail Shader & Smokey Shader (Left - Right)
The second two brushes in the collection where the standard flat paddle brush that everyone should have in their collection, the Smokey Shader and the Detail Shader. These brushes are great for packing on colour but still feel soft. The smaller detail shader is perfect for details just as it says, personally I love it for adding a bright shimmer eyeshadow to my inner eye corners, it's the perfect size and shape.

Smudger & Pencil (left-right)
Moving on to the Smudger and Pencil brushes, as with all of the collection I will never tire with how soft these brushes actually are, and these two are no different. I am not a huge fan of a pencil brush usually because I always find them too hard and too rough around the eyes but this one is different. It has the perfect stiffness too it without it irritating the eyes, it blends beautifully and the smudger is no different. The Smudger brush is also great for adding definition to the lash line, upper or lower, and with that getting really close to it, these brushes are a win for me.

This next brush is the only brow brush in the collection, the Brow Line, but personally I don't particularly like this for its purpose. That is the good thing about make up and its tools though, it doesn't always has to be used for its purpose. Unfortunately, I haven't actually found a purpose for this brush yet and I find it too thick for liner and too dense for eye shadow, hopefully, I will find its speciality soon enough...

Winger liner & Fine liner (left-right)

These two brushes also include one that I find multi-functional, in fact my preference for the Winged Liner brush is actually for the brows, even more so when I want to achieve a more natural brow. In saying that, my experience with using this brush for liner has been a great one too. The second brush here is the Fine Liner and it's a great one, its bent tip makes applying eyeliner all the more easier as the brush isn't blocking your eyesight. Personally, I think this brush is perfect for if you're a beginner trying to master the whole eyeliner thing.

Finally, we're at our 12th brush. This is the one brush I would class as a face brush and the name makes me feel no different, this is the Concealer Buffer. Although not an eye brush, it's a great brush that fits its purpose without fail. The brush buffs in concealer effortlessly and gives a flawless but natural look. However, this brush is pretty much identical to the Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush from their starter set and equally feels to have the same amount of softness. Luckily for this, I also love my Real Technique brush for the same reason, so now I have two!

To finish off, I will happily say I do love these brushes and how they make applying my eye make up so effortlessly. Yes, they may be a little pricey, but as with all things like this you pay for what you get and for £56 you are getting brushes of amazing quality and for that I feel you can't go wrong.
